About a month ago, I decided to take on the challenge of commercially mining NKN without relying on a VPS provider. Comparatively speaking, I am a small shop (half a datacenter rack in a colo), but I like the idea of contributing a decent amount of network capacity that I directly own and operate.
I firmly believe that the true end state of NKN is that of a network as diverse as the internet it rides over, with centralized VPS providers, mid-sized mining shops, and (most importantly) the miners at the edge.
I am posting here to get the community’s thoughts on what I am doing. Maybe you are already doing this and have some advice that you can offer. Maybe you are curious and have a question. Or maybe you just want to know why I’m doing this. Either way, I’d love to have a conversation.
