18% of NKN token will be reserved for developers and advisors, and will be transferred to them over a 3-year period. Upon the expiry of 1 year, the team will receive 1/3 of this allocation, with a further 1/3 of this allocation to be distributed upon the expiry of each year thereafter, until the 3-year period is up.
We have set up 3 year vesting period because we have confidence in our project. In addition, as an engineering team we would like to make sure our system is reliable and dependable for long term use.
