NKN 2.0 officially released
On June 30, 2020, NKN announced the launch of NKN 2.0. This iteration shows that NKN has stepped into a much broader field by surpassing the conventional definition of blockchain. As a full range provider of free and secure communication services, NKN 2.0 offers dataRide and nCDN as two essential communication platforms for enterprise and individual customers. The updated ecosystem included in NKN2.0 also grants an unprecedented boost to economic incentives and models. The NKN2.0 business software bundle includes all of the communication services that could run with one click, update and restore automatically combined with increasing economic incentives.

NKN hosts the summer Web3.0 technology webinar
On June 30th, NKN team hosted and invited elite projects in the blockchain industry (Bluzelle, Filecoin, IoTeX, Storj, Theta) to hold the summer Web3.0 technology webinar together. At this specific webinar, Yilun Zhang, CTO of NKN also announced the launch of NKN2.0, presenting the future vision of the NKN team to become the no.1 platform for communications-related businesses and to use the platform to generate greater value for practical and monetary assets.

NKN successfully completes comprehensive 6-month security audit
NKN contracted Chaitin Technology Co., Ltd. to conduct a comprehensive security audit for the NKN blockchain project from December 20, 2019 to May 16, 2020, including 2 rounds of security review and remediation verification.
With the successful completion of this audit, the security of the project is significantly improved and every functional module can be operated in a relatively safe and secure manner. This is a crucial milestone and prerequisite for NKN 2.0.

Community developer group Rule110 publish openAPI
With the upcoming release of NKN 2.0, the community developer scene is growing strongly. Recently the developers of the community-known NKNx ecosystem ChrisT and lightmyfire and the creator of nStatus, Mutsi, decided to join force and form the first NKN Open-Source community called “Rule110”.
The team has already released the NKN open API – a project based on the NKNx API that leads the way to an easy-to-use programming interface for developers.
