Retrieving a JSON from a node

I was thinking about a way to get around NKNX.org not working properly right now. So I thought about doing my own kind of NKNX on my computer. The only problem is that I don’t know how to get a JSON from my nodes with their info, so I could use it for the purpose of monitoring my nodes.
Any help would be awesome!

P.S: If you know how to get an XML is also pretty much valid!

Have you tried the nkn-dashboard? It is pretty cool and easy to use
