What applications can be built using the NKN network?
Is this network open source and can any developer use it?
Yes it’s open source and any developer can use it. You can check our github at https://github.com/nknorg for code, sdk, etc.
Any application that requires realtime communication or data transmission can be built on top of NKN. A few common examples I can think of:
- IM (nMobile does it)
- Remote access (nConnect does it)
- File sharing (Surge does it)
- File transfer (nftp does it)
- Realtime IoT monitoring (e.g. smart camera streaming)
- Realtime Collaborative tools
