NKN MainNet v2.1.2 Release

We released a new mainnet version v2.1.2 at https://github.com/nknorg/nkn/releases. This version disables sigchain objection. This mechanism will be re-enabled after switching to new ID. This version contains consensus change, please upgrade as soon as possible.

How to Upgrade

• If you are using nkn-commercial or nknx fast deploy, you don’t need to do anything.
• If you are using one-click on DO/AWS/Google Cloud that is not running nkn-commercial, you just need to stop and restart and miner and it will upgrade automatically.
• If you downloaded the release version, you just need to download it again at https://github.com/nknorg/nkn/releases , replace files and start nknd again
• If you build from scratch, you just need to do the build again.
• If you are using some scripts or tutorials that has auto-updater, then it should be automatic if the auto-updater is working properly.

We don’t recommend anyone to download the ChainDB snapshot manually, but if you really want or need, you can use https://nkn.org/ChainDB_pruned_latest.zip or https://nkn.org/ChainDB_pruned_latest.tar.gz for pruned ChainDB.

Hi, I had this problem before … if I replace the files on my PC node, do I have to pay another 10 NKN with this update or will it recognize my new (already paid) ID of my node which was already working up to version 2.1. 1-g78361 and was it updated with 2.1.1 before block 2570000?

NKN MainNet v2.1.1 Release

Hi, my PC node is not running anymore, it´s v2.1.1 but now i´m seeing that there´s a new v2.1.1-6-g78361 in my other nodes that doesn´t figure in GitHub. Where can I download it? Also the rest of my nodes mantain the same old ID but my pc node change it and I see that I lost 10 NKN from my wallet (the same benefeciary address in all my nodes, and my local wallet in my node)… Why I lost 10 NKN if my node were running the 2.1.1 version before block 2570000 and 2560000?? I´m not a big miner, had…

ID is tied with your wallet.json (and password of course). You don’t need a new ID if you don’t remove or replace wallet.json.

Ok, 8hs ago it charge me 10 NKN and my node was fully updated and mining (2.1.1) in my pc for a couple of weeks…

Why that happens?

It means your node generates a new ID before the foundation do it for you… We will check our side and refund you the token if your pubkey is in our list.

More than 400 nodes running and only 60 recieved 10 nkn payment with 1 reward for 24h, large holders get reward others small nothing!

The new ID does not affect mining before height 2,600,000. After block 2,600,000 all old ID will stop working, but before that all nodes should function normally.

Very few movements to be a exchange adress i guess… and nearly a month without transactions (until 19hs ago) hehe

And btw, the only site accepting NKN Mainnet tokens is Upbit.

If the nkn network generates ~1.275.000 NKNs monthly, that adress have the NKN from a year ago…

The reason I made my guess is because it has large txn with known upbit address, and the first txn date is the same as when upbit swap to mainnet nkn token. So it could be their cold wallet.

Yes you can move wallet to another machine and it is still qualified to be paid by the foundation.

Public key and ID are both tied to wallet.json (and password). So as long as you don’t change wallet, they will not be changed.
